Foundational Principles

The GCPS advisement program builds meaningful connections between adults and students, promoting student engagement, academic achievement, and a positive school climate. The advisement lessons assist in creating, confident, and responsible students who are aware of their skills and talents and who plan for success at the postsecondary level. The advisement program consists of developmentally appropriate lessons designed to address academic, personal, and work-ready skills. All lessons focus on the foundational pillars of the advisement program: Relationship, Respect, Resiliency, and Careers
